This scenario only works while using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
We log in to the system at https://192.168.1.1 using the default login name and password (both) "admin". Note that it is https (and not http).
On the first screen you can see the current WAN and LAN IP-addresses and firmware versions.
In "System"-"On-board WAN Setup" we change the WAN connection from static to DHCP and press "APPLY".
Next we check "Allow WAN To Respond PING" and press "SET". This makes debugging much more easy. And it makes it possible to check from an internal site if your IP-PBX is still running.
We need to create a different user for each phone. We create users with the same name as the phone number. I.e. 101, 102, 103 and 104. This is done at "User Management"-"User". Press "ADD" to each a new user.
We also provide an email address to sent all voicemail. We use the default user group "UG_DEF". The extensions are added at a later moment.
Add all the other users too. And get the following list:
Before you can add a SIP account (i.e. extension) for a IP phone you first have to enter a device ID and press "ADD" under "Device"-"IP Phone". If it is an Engenius device, you can add it MAC-address to do automatic provisioning.
After adding the first device ID, also add the second one.
Both device ID's appear in the list after they are added.
Go to "Device"-"Extension of IP Phone" and press "ADD" to add the first IP phone 101. (And repeat this step to add 102.)
Fill out all the fields for each IP phone.
Press "ADD" to save the settings (ad the bottom of the page)..
All extensions are shown in the list when finished.
Go to "Device"-"Analog Phone" and press "ADD" to add the first of the two phone (aka POTS or FXS) ports.
Enter the port number (3), extension number (103) etc. for the port and press "ADD" when done.
Repeat this for the second port (4). Enter the port number (4), extension number (104) etc. for the port and press "ADD" when done.
Next go to "Trunk"-"SIP trunk" and select the tab "Add new".
Configure the "Trunk identifier" with the phonenumber of the link, configure the "Auth, Name" (often also the phonenumber). Configure the "SIP Proxy" and "SIP Registrar". Configure the "SIP Proxy Port" en "SIP registrat Port" both to 5060. (Unless instructed otherwise by your provider.) Set the "DID of Extension" to a phone (number) if you want to have that specific phone ringing.
Press "ADD" to finish.
Go to "Route Management"-"Route". Fill in some "Route ID", "Description". We want to use a zero to select the trunk and we do not care about anything after that zero. So as "Desitnation Number Pattern" we configure 0. (zero dot). We need to get rid of the zero, so the "Numbers of Stripped Digits" needs to be configured to 1. After that we can press "ADD" to save it.
And our route is now shown.
Go to "Route Management"-"Route Group". And click on the RG_DEF link to edit it.
As we need to add the route that we created to the route group. Make sure the route is selected in the left list. Then press "ADD" to associate it. I.e. put it the right list.
After pressing "ADD" it should now be shown in the right list too.
Go to "User Management"-"User Group". And press on the "UG_DEF" link.
Associate the trunk we configured to the user group by selecting it (in the left list) and pressing on "ADD".
The trunk should now show on the right list. The basic configuration has been done now.
Few setting changes are automatically updated. Go to "Service"-"IP PBX Service" and press "RESTART" to activate the settings we configured.
